The Time of Gough Whitlam

Whitlam Institute, Western Sydney University, 2013. Designed by Freeman Ryan Design.

The exhibition, The Time of Gough Whitlam, was curated as the Whitlam Institute’s permanent installation, housed within the original building for the Female Orphan School, Parramatta. It portrayed the revolutionary effect of Gough Whitlam’s government in the arts, education, health and the rights of women and First Nations peoples, interweaving this narrative with Whitlam’s personal experiences prior to his appointment as Prime Minister.
