Ten Thoughts About Frames

Queensland Art Gallery, 2004–2005.

Ten Thoughts About Frames explored the relationship between the history of art and the frame, including the ways that frames have influenced artworks. The exhibition also enquired into the framing techniques used in painting, photography and cinema, with excerpts from Alfred Hitchcock’s films Vertigo (1958) and Psycho (1960) reflecting his ingenious means of framing scenes and developing montages.
